This is an 8-day, cable-driven movement that operates on three weights and delivers reliable timekeeping for approximately one week on a full wind. It features a triple-chime mechanism with Westminster, Whittington, and St. Michael melodies, chiming on the quarter-hour and striking the hours. The movement also includes a user-selectable chime silencer, allowing the chimes to be turned off when desired.

The “AS” version of this movement includes an automatic night-silencer feature, which automatically mutes the chimes during designated nighttime hours so as not to disturb sleeping areas — a practical upgrade for clocks placed where overnight quiet is preferred.

Designed for a 114 cm pendulum length, the HM1161-853-114AS delivers the rich, traditional beat and presence expected in floor clocks. Its solid brass construction and precise gearing ensure durability and smooth operation.
